3.Unreal Engine 4 FPS Tutorial
This course is taught by Weston Huett. Over 19,440 students have taken this. It gets 752 ratings.
Overall I think the course is good for beginners touching base with Unreal. I wish the lecturer would give a bit of a an in-depth explanation on why we would need to connect blueprints in a certain way. Lessons 44 and 45 are switched in terms learning the content in order. He kinda skipped how he implemented the AI Spawning in the world at the end (how he didn’t explain where to deploy the Enemy Spawning Actor in the map but not an issue if you’re able to figure it out yourself).— PH Phillips Huynh
This is great!! Such a simple way to get started with an FPS game especially from starting out with a 3rd person template. Woohoo!.— Carl Du Plessis
I like the speed and the explanations. Most tutorials the instructor just does things and says what they do but doesnt explain each minute detail. AWESOME! — Giuseppe B.

It is fun and exciting and nice explanation.— Sanjeeb Bhanja
Awesome course, I learned how to do stuff with variables instead of relying on behaviour events. I would rate this course to a must watch for everyone. Have fun people & happy learning! — Vijay Vasanthan (DrEnchanter)
Jeremy is a good instructor, and has an energetic voice and narration, and the course is pretty good overall but I definitely don’t think it’s for beginners as the description suggests. He just does stuff, “we do this, we do that” etc. but rarely tells in detail why are we doing it and what that thing does, which is what a beginner needs to understand the program in the first place. So if you are familiar with Construct 2 a bit, it’s a good choice. but if you’re a total beginner, maybe you can check it out since it’s free but also expect to be overwhelmed. — Can

good explanaton and i thought that i can be able to create a game when i heard only two parts of his lecture good explanation — GANJAI ABHINAY
This could be called an “introduction” but definitely not for a beginner. I have somewhat experience of programming but I still have to figure through the course how to do things because the instructor does not explain much but talk through the code he wrote. Anr by the way, for those who have no experience with using a local server, They will be super confused with why sometimes the code, both theirs and the example folders, don’t work because how the server load new data/code up is not realtime and up to date in second. The instructor also missed this part to explain how to debug this annoying issue. In conclusion, it’s good as it is a free course but is missing a lot of essential information and not recommended for beginners. — Tuang Thongborisute

This class is fantastic. Kenny really knows his stuff. He is very clear and concise. Love it so far. My only complaint and it is minor, is I wish he recorded the sound at a higher level. Sometimes I can barely hear him. His Indie-Pixel audio intro is very loud compared to his voice. But like I said, this is very minor. Don’t hesitate to take this class! — Christine Hill
